For Parents
Everything you need to know
We know navigating specialist care can feel daunting. Here’s what to expect when you come to Haven Paediatrics.
Getting a Referral
A GP referral is required to access Medicare rebates. Ask your GP to refer you to your preferred Paediatrician at Haven Paediatrics — or call us if you need guidance.
Your First Appointment
Initial consultations are 40–60 minutes so your Paediatrician can genuinely get to know your child. Follow-ups are typically around 30 minutes.
What to Bring
Please bring your child’s Blue Book, any previous assessments, school letters, therapist reports, and relevant medical records or test results.
Fees & Billing
Haven Paediatrics is a private billing practice. Fees vary based on consultation complexity. Contact reception for the current fee schedule.
Developmental Concerns
If you’re concerned about your child’s development, behaviour, or learning — a paediatrician consultation is the recommended first step before any formal assessment begins.
How to refer
Let your GP know that our doctors are on Medical Objects. If you already have a referral, feel free to use the Request an Appointment form or email our reception.
